Trims
The Perodua Axia has five variants—the E, G, X, SE and AV trims. The Axia E trim is the only variant with a manual transmission and a five-speed gearshift.

1. Engine and performance
One of the key features of the Perodua Axia is its EEV (energy-efficient vehicle) engine, which helps it use less fuel than other cars. To increase fuel savings, one can opt for a D-CVT-equipped Axia trim. This combination offers a mileage of around 25.3 km per litre. Additionally, the SE and AV trims are equipped with the Eco Idle technology, which automatically switches the engine off when the car is not moving.

The engine also offers a powerful performance regardless of the trim level. All the Perodua Axia variants have the same 1-litre DOHC EFi (electronic fuel injection) engine with VVTi technology. One can expect a displacement of 998 cc across variants, a maximum output of 50 kW (about 67 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 91 Nm.

2. Easy-to-use infotainment system
A responsive and straightforward car infotainment setup can enhance the driving experience. It also makes the automobile ideal for families. The Perodua Axia does not disappoint here. It also has an easy-to-operate audio system, with the higher trims of the car equipped with a pair of speakers in the front and a pair in the rear.

The AV trim of the Axia takes infotainment a notch up, as the trim has a 9-inch display. Additionally, the AV variant comes with Smart Link, a feature that allows one to connect their smartphone to the infotainment system. The car also has a few basic safety features, such as an emergency stop signal, vehicle stability control, traction control and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with braking assist. Those who enjoy off-roading can make the most of its hill-start assist system, which keeps the car from rolling downhill when it is stopped on a slope and needs to be restarted. The Axia also has adaptive cruise control, which allows the driver to maintain a constant speed and keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead to avoid any collisions.

While these features protect the occupants from collisions and other accidents, the Axia also has several security features that help prevent theft and unauthorised access. These features include an anti-theft device, a central locking system, power door locks and an engine immobiliser.

To do that, Perodua has equipped the Axia with features like lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, electronic parking brake with auto brake hold, lane keep control and blind spot monitoring. Along with driving assistance, the Perodua Axia has advanced parking assist features, such as a 360-degree panoramic view monitor, front and rear corner sensors, a reverse camera and a rear cross-traffic alert system. The camera and monitor provide the driver with a clear view of the front and rear view of the vehicle. Additionally, the traffic alert system and the corner sensors keep the car from crashing into pedestrians, corners, objects, or other vehicles while parking. These features make driving and parking the car easier.

5. Keyless entry and start
Often considered a key feature in modern cars, a keyless entry and start system makes accessing the vehicle quite convenient. Here, one gets access to a key fob that can automatically unlock the car without manually inserting the physical key.
