How to Take Care of Your Skin after Shaving

Most men do not prefer to shave because they love their beards. The ones who want to shave hate the dry itchy skin they get after shaving. So, what’s the solution? The process of shaving robs the skin off all its moisture. It makes the skin extremely dry and itchy and most of the times, the reason behind the itchiness is the shaving cream.

Shaving frequently makes the skin prone to cuts, skin irritation, bumps, and ingrown hair. The process damages the skin and needs time to recover. Experts advise that you should give your skin a break from time-to-time and go for trimming rather than shaving the whole beard.

If you have a naturally dry skin, massage your face and skin with shaving oil. Do this a couple of minutes before you start shaving. This process will provide some moisture to the skin. Start shaving short strokes in the direction of hair growth. After you are done shaving, rinse off the blade and keep it to dry. Ensure that it dries off completely to prevent rusting.

Set the dose of the aftershave based on the type of your skin. You will need a very little amount if you have an oily skin and you will have to use it generously if your skin is dry and sensitive.
